The University of Arizona is amid its final step in joining the Big-12 and leaving the already shorthanded Pac-12 behind. Jason Smith and Mike Harmon react to the news and give their takes on yet another potential loss for the Pac-12! Listen to the full segment above!
Jason Smith: “You have another school that’s leaving the Pac-12 Arizona, but we kind of knew Arizona was in the same boat as Oregon and Washington because they had that vote scheduled right after they found out what the Pac-12 television contract was going to be. There is no escaping it; the Pac-12 as we know it is going to die. The Pac-12 is not going to be a power 5 conference in college football anymore!”
Mike Harmon: "For a lot of these teams like San Diego State and others where they were maybe having to considered larger buyouts to get out of their conferences? Well maybe now they don’t have to...Maybe whatever the shell of the Pac-12,10, 8, or whatever they are going to be will pony up money out of whatever war chest to bring the conference back to hole!”
