The Los Angeles Angels are cutting bait on this season as they waive a number of veteran players in a cost cutting move. Dan isn’t surprised and furthermore, he has no faith in their decision makers, who have continually failed to build a team capable of playing in meaningful games in October despite having two Hall of Fame players in Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout, to put a winning team on the field.
Dan Patrick: “They lucked into (Shohei) Ohtani. He’s been one of the great players that we’ve ever seen. Mike Trout is going to be a Hall of Famer, but you have nothing to show for this. If you don’t have October games, it’s nice to be a regular season curiosity but that’s what they’ve been for a long, long, long time.”
