Fox Sports Radio Launches New Women-Led Weekend Show

LOS ANGELES, August 31, 2023 – FOX Sports Radio (FSR), a division of Premiere Sports Network providing 24/7 live programming, today announced the launch of a new women-led weekend program hosted by FOX Sports personality Alex Curry and FOX Sports Radio anchor Monse Bolaños.

Debuting September 2, 2023, FOX Sports Saturday with Alex Curry and Monse Bolaños joins FSR’s industry-leading weekend roster featuring a diverse ensemble of sports entertainment personalities, former players and analysts dedicated to providing around-the-clock game-day coverage. Taking over the 4 - 6 p.m. ET/1 - 3 p.m. PT timeslot on Saturdays, Curry and Bolaños will deliver their unique combination of opinions and instant analysis on the games in play, breaking news and the biggest stories in sports, in addition to conversations with insiders and experts. The program will air on more than 400 stations nationwide, in addition to FOX Sports Radio’s channel on iHeartRadio, which is available via iHeartRadio.com and the iHeartRadio app.

About Alex Curry

Alex Curry is a host and reporter for FOX Sports. She currently co-hosts the “Flippin’ Bats podcast with Ben Verlander, and regularly fills in on FS1 studio shows, including “The Herd with Colin Cowherd.” 

Previously, Curry hosted “FOX Bet Live,” covered college football and the U.S. National Soccer Teams on FOX, and was embedded with the U.S. Women’s National Team during the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France™. From 2012 to 2021, Curry was a reporter for the Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Kings on Bally Sports West, formerly FOX Sports West. Curry also served as the co-host of “American Ninja Warrior: Ninja vs. Ninja” on USA Network.

In 2011, Curry spent a month in China covering the World University Games for FOX College Sports. A year later, she covered the Pro Beach Volleyball Series on NBC Sports and traveled the world covering the Red Bull Signature series for NBC. She also hosted “Tailgate 48” on Big Ten Network and was the sideline reporter for the CIF-SS football game of the week on FOX Sports West and FS1. Plus, she covered the Celebrity Beach Bowl for Direct TV at Super Bowl XLVIII in New York City.

Curry joined FOX Sports West in 2012 as the host of “Angels Weekly” and “Kings Weekly.” In 2014, Curry expanded her role, becoming the reporter for both the Angels and Kings telecasts and was part of the broadcast team that covered the Kings 2014 Stanley Cup championship. To date, Curry has won three Telly awards for her work on the Angels and Kings broadcast crews

About Monse Bolaños

With a lifelong passion for sports, Monse Bolaños began her journey with FOX Sports Radio in February of 2022 as an update anchor, and quickly added co-hosting duties across the network’s nationally-syndicated programs in June of 2023. While getting her B.A. in communications at Cal State Fullerton, Bolaños was an intern for her favorite team, the Los Angeles Clippers, and CBS Sports Central. She became a bilingual host for KJLA-LATV, and produced and co-hosted a podcast called “Double Overtime,” while also working as a VIP Guide at Universal Studios.
