The Denver Broncos snapped an historic 16-game losing streak against the Kansas City Chiefs yesterday and they did it with Russell Wilson logging the fewest pass attempts of any game this season. They relied on their defense and running game which seems odd for a team who has a $50M QB and an offensive guru as head coach in Sean Payton. Dan still isn’t convinced Russell Wilson and Sean Payton have finally found the right formula.
Dan Patrick: “Nobody brings in a quarterback making $50M and saying, ‘Let’s pass less. Let’s just hand the ball off; play good defense,’ but it did work against the Kansas City Chiefs. But, do I think this is a formula, a pattern, is it sustainable? It doesn’t feel like these two are on the same page.”
