The Raiders’ Trade Deadline Fireworks Didn’t Involve Any Trades

The NFL trade deadline came and went yesterday and the Las Vegas Raiders stood pat with their roster but still managed to make headlines because they fired their head coach, Josh McDaniels and their general manager, Dave Ziegler. Dan and the Danettes weigh in on all the action at the trade deadline, and Dan wonders if the Raiders remained idle because they refused to let these guys make any decisions knowing they were on their way out the door.

Dan Patrick: “The Raiders said there was no way they were going to trade Davante Adams. Now, this is what I want to know: if the Raiders knew they were going to fire coach and GM, did they make sure that those guys didn’t make any moves?

“I think there’s some moving parts there and they probably said to these guys that you’re not going to be part of the future so you’re not going to be involved in any of these potential trades.”
