Florida State's CFP Snub Proves It’s All About Money

The College Football Playoff Final Four have been selected and Georgia and Florida State finds themselves on the outside looking in. Dan Patrick reminds us that this is the very reason why the CFP is expanding next year, and why they wanted to do it sooner rather than later. But he isn’t mad about the snubs because he thinks the selection committee is giving us the most exciting matchups under the circumstances. Florida State just won’t move the needle.

Dan Patrick: “The committee wants to put together a great weekend, a great matchup with both of these games, and that’s what you have. Michigan/Alabama is wonderful! Texas and Washington, offensive fire(power); that’s spectacular! Like, it’ll be fun. Florida State would not have been a draw. They’re not interesting... It’s putting together the four best teams, matchups, because you want (eyeballs). This is all about money!”
