Japanese MLB superstar Shohei Ohtani had his debut introductory press conference as a Dodger at Dodger Stadium today! The 2 time MVP answered questions on his contract, his decision to join the Dodgers, and even his dog Decoy! Mike Harmon and Kerry Rhodes break down the entire event and give us their thoughts on the press conference!

Mike Harmon: “A lot of excitement and the way the deal is structured with all the deferred payments that you avail yourself as a front office. The edict and the clause that came out later on saying if there is a change in the front office or ownership, that’s kind of a big deal to me when you look at organizational stability and you look at New England and other big names. It’s really just that curiosity of how you come to different decision processes, so for Ohtani it’s important that the structure stays in place.”
Kerry Rhodes: “He would not have gone to a place that was not set up that way. The thing with me and this whole deal with Ohtani coming to the dodgers, and that ridiculous number, is you can say he’s worth it that’s fine, but I only really see him being worth it if he gets back to pitching again. They are basically paying $350 million for a pitcher and $350 million for a hitter which is fine, but we won’t be seeing both sides at least this year so if you are paying $700 million dollars for a player I need to see both sides of it.”
