Cam Newton is at it again, doubling down on his criticism of San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy, calling him a game manager. Covino & Rich, in for Dan Patrick this morning, are having a tough time taking anything Cam has to say seriously. He should be the last guy talking about managing games considering he couldn’t manage to stay in the league, mostly because he couldn’t manage games. And those circus hats he likes to wear aren’t helping his credibility much either.
Steve Covino: “(Brock Purdy) is still in the running to potentially win a Super Bowl, where Cam Newton is not. And I feel like all of his antics and the way he plays the game is why he’s not playing right now, so I feel like he’s one of the last guys to talk about this...But for whatever reason, he’s been so outspoken, and again, when it comes from him and he’s wearing that ridiculous hat, it just makes it even more annoying and hateable...”
Rich Davis: “Yes! Agreed!”
