Jason and Mike look ahead to a much-anticipated College Football National Championship between Michigan and Washington, giving their predictions for how they think the game will play out. Jason feels confident in Michigan because of their ability to win in the trenches. Mike sees the Wolverines coming out on top as well, but believes it will be a much closer game than Jason expects.
Jason Smith: "I will be extremely surprised if this is not a Michigan win on Monday Night. As good as Michael Penix is, he's gonna get a little bit of a bounce. The bottom line is, he's playing against the best defense in the country... They were able to bully Alabama and win the line of scrimmage... They're gonna push Washington's offensive line around. Michigan's defensive backs are much better than Texas defensive backs... I can't see Washington being able to have a normal Washington game offensively -- Michigan's just too good."
Mike Harmon: "There's still a lot of question about [Washington running back] Dillon Johnson saying he's gonna be ready to go, but we'll see what capacity... I will take Michigan to win the game, but I'll take Washington with the points."
