Dan Beyer and Jason Fitz are in for Doug Gottlieb on The Doug Gottlieb Show today and they take a quick left turn to talk some baseball now that Spring Training is underway and Shohei Ohtani is already hitting bombs in practice. This is a win-win for Major League Baseball because whether the Dodgers dominate of fall apart, the drama will be writ large across the entire league. Los Angeles is one of the few markets where his success or failure will be worthy of attention either way.
Jason Fitz: “It feels like this year is going to be a circus show in every good way because Shohei (Ohtani) went to that one team. Most other places he goes, it doesn’t resonate.”
Dan Beyer: “And I’ll say this: if they don’t win, then bye-bye Dave Roberts; hello Doc Rivers.”
