Chris Plank first joined FOX Sports Radio in 2006 as the host of The Third Shift overnight program on weekends. For the last decade, Plank has been teamed up with Arnie Spanier from 11 p.m. – 1 a.m. on Sunday nights. He’s also a fill-in host across the network.
Since 2011, Plank has served as the sideline reporter on the Sooner Radio Network, in addition to calling play-by-play for the National Champion Sooner softball seam. An established voice on the college sports scene, Plank works with SiriusXM College Sports Radio and hosts The Plank Show weekdays form 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. CST on the Ref Radio Network in Oklahoma.
Plank moved to Norman, Oklahoma in 2015 after spending 18 years in sports talk radio in Tulsa on 1430 The Buzz. He’s a regular part of the SoonerVision lineup on ESPN+, co-hosting the Coaches Corner and the Sooner Football Signing Day show. Plank helped create, develop, and continues to grow the Sooner Sports podcast.
Plank is a proud graduate of the University of Tulsa, after growing up just outside of St. Louis in Wood River, Illinois. Plank and his wife Sarah have been married since 2007 and reside in Goldsby, Oklahoma with their two daughters Emma and Gwen. His son Will is currently a cadet at West Point. The family includes three dogs (Honey, Tater, and Butters) a rescue cat (Lucy), 10 chickens and one very mean rooster (Boss Hog). Even though he is terrible at it, golf is Plank’s number one "away from work" activity. The only thing more frustrating than his golf game is watching his beloved Raiders break his heart constantly.
