George Wrighster

George Wrighster joined FOX Sports Radio’s national weekend lineup in September 2019, and he currently hosts the Sunday, 5 - 8 p.m. ET timeslot with Dan Beyer, where they give fans their up-to-the-minute breakdown of games in play. He also hosts the daily “Night Cap” program on the Mad Dog Sports Radio channel on SiriusXM.

Wrighster launched UnafraidShow.com in 2018 with the goal of with the goal of providing a one-stop shop for fearless, influential and fun sports content. The site also produces several podcasts, including Wrighster or Wrong and Pac 12 Apostles, which are co-hosted by Wrighster and sportswriter Ralph Amsden.

Wrighster was drafted out of the University of Oregon by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2003 NFL Draft. He played six seasons as a tight end with the team before signing with the New York Giants in 2009. After his professional football career, Wrighster successfully transitioned into his second career as an entrepreneur/investor and sports media personality. He has hosted shows on radio and television for a number of networks including FOX Sports, ESPN and Los Angeles-based radio stations KFWB and AM 570 KLAC.

As a motivational speaker, Wrighster has travelled around the world to speak to military members about prioritizing mental and emotional fitness along with physical fitness. He is an advisor for the Harvard Football Players Health Study and has worked with the NFLPA and Professional Athletes Foundation to develop programs to benefit athletes.
