The Kansas City Chiefs and QB Patrick Mahomes have agreed to yet another restructuring of his contract to create more cap space during this free agency period. Dan explains exactly why the sure-fire Hall of Famer is willing to give back money in the short term; it’s to help his team win more Super Bowls. Taking a lesson from Tom Brady who will make more in his first broadcasting deal than he did during his entire career, Mahomes knows winning is what will generate long-term wealth.

Dan Patrick: “(Patrick) Mahomes is competing with Tom Brady. That’s what this is now...If Tom Brady doesn’t have six or seven Super Bowls, FOX is not hiring him. So he gets a 10-year, $375M contract! He’s going to make more with FOX than he did on the field. But it’s because he was a winner. Michael Jordan: a winner. We love winners...We laud winners. We promote winners. We like to see winners. We like to be around winners. That’s what happens. And Patrick Mahomes is doing the smart thing.”
