Steve Hartman

Steve Hartman is a FOX Sports Radio weekend personality and television sports anchor for KTLA 5 in Los Angeles.

Prior to his work with KTLA, Hartman was a weekend television sports anchor for KCBS in Los Angeles for 12 years. Hartman and his colleagues were honored five times (1999-2001; 2003-04) as the best local sports television team by the SCSBA. In 2002, the SCSBA nominated Hartman as "best radio talk show host," making him the first person to be nominated as both a talk show host and color analyst. He was also inducted into the Southern California Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2004.

For more than three decades, Hartman has put his stamp on the sports world as a writer, team executive and broadcaster. He has become a fixture at top sporting events, having covered numerous Super Bowls, Final Fours and Major League All-Star Games.  In addition, Hartman served two seasons as a UCLA football radio color commentator, for which he earned a 1996 nomination for “best radio analyst” by the Southern California Sports Broadcasters Association.

His career began as the Daily Bruin sports editor at UCLA, where he won accolades for his coverage of the 1980 Final Four. After graduating, he joined KABC-AM as an assistant producer and then moved on to the Los Angeles Raiders, where he served as media relations and publications director.

In February 1989, Hartman began his sports radio career at KFOX in Los Angeles. A year later, he helped launch XTRA (now AM570 KLAC), the first all-sports station in southern California. In 2009 when the FOX Sports Radio Network and AM 570 KLAC merged, Hartman got the chance to host a national midday show for the network. He also previously hosted the weekday afternoon program Loose Cannons with Mike Costa on XTRA Sports 1360 in San Diego.

Currently, Hartman co-hosts two weekend shows for FOX Sports Radio. On Saturdays from 6pm-8pm ET/3pm-5pm PT, he’s partnered with NFC Champion Ephraim Salaam. The non-stop program features highlights and instant analysis on the weekend in games, in addition to conversations with insiders and experts.

On Sundays, Hartman teams up with six-year NFL Veteran Rich Ohrnberger from 1pm-5pm ET/10am-2pm PT. Each weekend, the duo engages sports fans with their combination of breaking news and highlights with banter from former players, insiders and experts.
