The Pacers’ Inexperience Is Showing

The Indiana Pacers lost a heart-breaker in overtime as the Boston Celtics took Game 1 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. There were a number of moments in the closing seconds of regulation when the Pacers could have put the game away but seemed to get lost in the pressure of the moment. Dan chalks it up to a lack of playoff experience in Indiana and wonders if they’ll be able to recover and keep the series competitive.

Dan Patrick: “The inbounds pass (with) 10 seconds to go, you know, trying to foul Jaylen Brown before he takes the three, like, there were just moments there where you go; just one of those things and you win. Get the ball inbounds, or call a timeout (and) advance the ball to half court. There were just moments there...You can prepare for these moments until you’re in those moments.”
