Pregnant dancer and social media influencer Hayden Hopkins, 26, revealed that the father of her unborn child is Washington Nationals outfielder Joey Gallo following false rumors that it was 69-year-old Las Vegas Raiders and Las Vegas Aces owner Mark Davis.
“Reports of Mark Davis being the father of my child are wildly untrue,” Hopkins wrote on X. “I was pictured sitting next to him at a game in 2022 and have endured false rumors of a romantic relationship since. I was just a guest sitting in the owner’s box with other friends.
“These continued media stories are negatively affecting what should be my happiest days. Joey and I are excited to welcome our baby in the fall.”
TMZ Sports later confirmed that the Joey mentioned in Hopkins' post was, in fact, Gallo and that the couple was having a planned pregnancy. False rumors of Davis fathering the 26-year-old dancer's child were started by NFL reporter Dov Kleiman, who shared a post on his X account after Hopkins announced her pregnancy in Instagram post shared on April 25.
Former NFL punter Pat McAfee also referenced the rumor during WWE's live broadcast of Monday Night RAW and issued an apology on his titular ESPN talk show after Hopkins dispelled the rumors the following day.
“I apologize for perpetuating a lie,” McAfee said on the Pat McAfee Show Tuesday (May 28). “I understand how happy you guys should be at this moment. It would suck to have a 70-year-old billionaire looming over it. So I’d like to apologize to Hayden and let the world know, hey, we gotta make sure we get these things right. I spread lies in the middle of the Braun Strowman-JD McDonagh match last night. Mark Davis is not the father.”
