Jason Smith: "Not only does Dan Hurley say no, he uses them to get more money out of UConn. I don't know if Rob Pelinka and Jeanie Buss can show their faces for a long time. It's so amazingly embarrassing for the Lakers. This is the biggest example of where the Lakers brand is at in the last 15 years. You can't even go get a guy who you want to give all kinds of money to coming off of back-to-back national championships. You know the guy wants to coach at the NBA at some point, and he tells you no. This is one of the worst days for the Lakers franchise in at least a decade. This is awful."
Jason Smith and Mike Harmon react to UConn HC Dan Hurley choosing to return to Connecticut over becoming the new head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. Jason breaks down why the entire Lakers front office should be embarrassed by this debacle, bringing public cause to call into question the current state of the Lakers brand. Mike gives perspective on why Hurley turned the job down for both personal and professional reasons.
