Chris Broussard and Martin Weiss respond to a viral tweet where a former Duke employee accused new Lakers Head Coach JJ Redick of using a racial slur during his time at Duke. They delve into the allegations and examine JJ Redick's camp's response.

Chris Broussard: "JJ Redick better not be lying because if it happened, it would be bad enough if he did it. If it occurred 20 years ago or something like that, there might be a path to reconciliation. BUT if it comes out and you have two people making claims, I don’t know who is right or who is telling the truth, JJ better not be lying because if it turns out he did it and he denied it, this could very well cost him his job."
Martin Weiss: "The internet never forgets; it lasts forever. If, in fact, it did happen—and I'm not taking either side—I'm laying it out. If it did happen and he showed some level of contrition, saying, 'Show me another instance in my life where this occurred,' then we could have a different conversation. I think there will be a lot of contingency about how players feel and the general consensus after the fact. But maybe I'm naïve. I have trouble believing that if you are the type of person to use the 'N word,' you would only do it one time."
