Legendary sports media loudmouth, Stephen A. Smith recently had some inflammatory comments about LeBron James’ relationship with JJ Redick in regards to their podcast endeavors. As usual, he made it all about race and Doug Gottlieb, filling in for Colin Cowherd today, has had just about enough of Smith injecting racial division where it doesn’t belong. It seems pretty clear he’s only doing it to further his own career regardless of the reality of the situation.
Doug Gottlieb: “The only person making it about race is Stephen A. Smith...This is farming racial divisiveness and making it into something that it’s not, and using it to (propel) yourself for $20M+ in the media industry. That’s gross!”
