Jason Fitz: "Baseball should be dominating the Fourth of July! It should be dominating our consciousness this weekend, and it's just a reminder that it doesn't find a way to transcend. I don't know how you create drama out of a matchup on the Fourth of July."
Kevin Figgers: "You really can't. We've got Yankees-Red Sox starting this weekend, but even these series don't have the same bite that they used to. We are not going to sit here and watch meaningless games anymore. There's too many entertainment options. I'm not going to sit there on July 4th and watch two average baseball teams play each other."

Jason Fitz and Kevin Figgers, in for Doug Gottlieb, explain how Major League Baseball is failing to capitalize on America's most significant Summer holiday. The guys break down how MLB can better take advantage of broadcasting the National Pastime on July 4th every year.
