Chris and Rob react to the news that Kawhi Leonard will be withdrawing from the Team USA Olympic basketball team, and will be replaced by Derrick White of the Boston Celtics. The guys are both shocked by the fact that White was chosen over his superior Celtics teammate Jaylen Brown.
Rob Parker: "It's the ultimate disrespect. They didn't slap [Jaylen Brown], they PIMP SLAPPED HIM!... Isn't he more like Kawhi [than Derrick White]?... It would be different if they were replacing a Derrick White-type of dirty work player, but they're [replacing Kawhi Leonard]. It's disrespect to a guy who just won the Finals MVP... I don't understand the thinking here by Team USA... Three Celtics on the team and Brown's not one of them?"
Chris Broussard: "I'm a bit shocked. I get why Derrick White was added -- we talked about role players and how you need some guys who aren't stars -- but Jaylen can do those [dirty work] things too, and I think he'd willingly do those things... I'm surprised."
