Mike Harmon and Martin Weiss (in for Jason Smith) react to Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown revealing on Netflix's new 'Receiver' show that he played through a gruesome oblique injury last season that he probably shouldn't have. The guys see this as a pretty clear indicator that today's athletes deal with a whole lot more throughout the course of a season than we as fans are led to believe.

Mike Harmon: "[We hear all the time that guys play through injuries], but it's always kind of muted. In the NFL it's not like we have an expectation that there's some sanctity... we know guys are getting shot up with Vitamin T and all that to get back out on the field. There's an expectation that you're gonna get kind of messed up to some degree... but this is even a little more extreme than I think we would expect."
Martin Weiss: "I have a cousin who's really good at baseball, but really wants to play football. I told my aunt to put 'Receiver' on and remind him that he doesn't have this world-class medical team around him to keep him on the field. Like go play basketball if you don't wanna be a baseball player."
