Six-time Super Bowl champion Bill Belichick is joining Inside the NFL as an analyst for the 2024 NFL season, the CW Network announced on Thursday (July 11) via the Associated Press.

Belichick will join former NFL players Ryan Clark, Chad Johnson and Chris Long, all of whom played on the New England Patriots under the legendary head coach for at least one season.

“I’m thrilled to join my new team at NFL Films and to work on such a historic television franchise,” Belichick said in a statement obtained by the AP. “I’ve always appreciated ‘Inside the NFL’s’ depth of analysis, and I hope to bring the same detailed insight to The CW by talking real football with real pros — Ryan, Chris and Chad — this coming season.”

Inside the NFL is produced by NFL Films and is entering its 48th season in 2024. Belichick, who is famous for giving short and stoic answers during his coaching career, has been more revealing in projects produced by NFL Films in the past, which included being nominated for a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Studio Analyst for his contributions to the 2019 NFL Films series NFL 100 All-Time Team, which aired on NFL Network during the league's centennial season.

Belichick is the third-winningest coach in NFL history and one of seven NFL head coaches to have spent more than 20 years with one franchise following George Halas (40) of the Chicago Bears, Curly Lambeau (29) of the Green Bay Packers, Tom Landry (29) of the Dallas Cowboys, Don Shula (26) of the Miami Dolphins, Steven Owen (24) of the New York Giants and Chuck Noll of the Pittsburgh Steelers, all of whom have been enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
