Josh Allen Said He's Willing to Make Major Sacrifice For Bills Super Bowl

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen said he'd be willing to retire immediately if it guaranteed his team would win a Super Bowl.

The two-time Pro Bowler appeared on Barstool Sports' Pardon My Take podcast alongside former NBA forward Blake Griffin and hosts Dan 'Big Cat' Katz and PFT Commenter from the American Century Championship charity golf tournament and answered the hypothetical question.

"If that's what it took I would do it," Allen said. "If I could, can I [guarantee it?] Yeah, I would do it. I would do it."

The hypothetical scenario was a joke at the expense of Griffin, 35, who announced his retirement last offseason prior to his last NBA team, the Boston Celtics, winning the NBA championship last month. The former NBA All-Star and recurring Pardon My Take guest previously revealed that he had a standing offer to return to the Celtics before opting for retirement during a prior appearance on the podcast in April.

The Bills have become a perennial playoff contender during Allen's tenure with the franchise, however, have only made one AFC Championship Game appearance and been eliminated during the AFC Divisional round during each of the past three seasons, which has coincided with the Kansas City Chiefs' AFC dominance, winning three Super Bowls and making four appearances in five years.

Allen, 38, threw for 4,306 yards, 29 touchdowns and 18 interceptions on 385 of 579 passing, while also recording 524 yards and a career-best 15 touchdowns on 111 rushing attempts.
