New York Knicks fans may be ready to put up a statue of Jalen Brunson after he left $113M on the table when signing his new 4-year contract extension to allow the team to sign better complimentary players. He is still going to make $156.5M on the deal so it’s not like he’s going to be destitute, but he is now going to be perceived as the savior of the franchise. All that’s left is for him to bring a title back to the Big Apple.
Dan Patrick: “Perception-wise, he is a hero...Jalen Brunson gave you that feel-good story and the Knicks usually don’t have a feel-good story.”
