The MLB All-Star Game May Fumble a Dream Matchup

Jason Smith: "You're the American League, you can really help out Major League Baseball by saying 'let's just put Gunnar Henderson, Juan Soto, and Aaron Judge up 1-2-3 in the first inning against Paul Skenes.' But no, you're putting Steven Kwan in the leadoff spot. I get that he's hitting .352, but he's not Henderson, he's not Soto, he's not Judge. Think about what a push that would be for 2 days to say 'Skenes is going to get Henderson, Soto, and Judge.' These are All-Star memories that are just waiting to happen. But it's different when these guys aren't batting 1-2-3. I get that Kwan is batting .352, but it's the All-Star Game. You can hit him fifth. How do you not do that? I don't understand."

Jason Smith and Mike Harmon preview the MLB All-Star Game. Jason expresses his confusion with the American League choosing to bat Aaron Judge fourth in the lineup, potentially meaning that fans will miss out on the headline match-up between Judge and rookie sensation Paul Skenes, who is confirmed to only be pitching the first inning for the National League.
