Chris Broussard: “Coach K was asked if Kevin Durant was the greatest men’s basketball player in Olympics history, to which he said yes because of his longevity. What do you think of that?”
Rob Parker: “Coach K, I hate to rain on your parade: but that, plus $2.90 will get you on the Subway in New York! Really, Coach K? Oh my god! He averaged 20 points per game – against nobody! Has been’s and never was-es! It doesn’t make you better in the eyes of the basketball world, it’s still about the NBA! Carmelo Anthony has 4 Olympic medals, and that didn’t help him get a job in the NBA when he was out of work! It didn’t move the needle!”

On this edition of The Odd Couple, Chris Broussard and Rob Parker discuss whether or not Kevin Durant’s performance in international competition matters in the overall perception of his career when all is said and done.
