The revelations from Ian O’Connor’s biography of New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers, “Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers” have been reverberating around the sports world for the last few days and the acclaimed author joins Doug Gottlieb on The Doug Gottlieb Show. He talks about how the book came about, the estrangement of Aaron from his family and his relationship with actress Olivia Munn, and his recovery from season-ending Achilles surgery last season. He said Aaron was adamant he was going to return to the field on Christmas Eve if the Jets were still in the playoff hunt despite medical advice to the contrary.
Ian O'Connor: “His trainer (said), ‘If you rush back and re-tear it, that’s the end of your career. Let’s just wait until 2024.’ Aaron said, ‘Nope. If the Jets win on December 17th in Miami, I’m playing on Christmas Eve against Washington.’”
