To Justify Their Spending, The Dodgers Have to Win It All

With the Los Angeles Dodgers currently one of the best teams in baseball, Rob Parker and Ephraim Salaam (in for Chris Broussard) ponder the simple question: do they need to win the World Series in order to justify their absurd spending over the offseason?

Ephraim Salaam: "They do. They do have to at least get to the World Series to justify it... The knock on the Yankees when they were going to all those World Series and winning was that they were just buying championships. Well, okay, so can you! Open your wallet and be a part of it! And now that the Dodgers have done it... if you're gonna spend over a billion dollars to bolster your roster, then yes, the goal better be the World Series."
Rob Parker: "If they don't get to the World Series, it will be one of the biggest flops in sports. I don't know how you can look at it any other way."
