Jason Whitlock Mocks Deion Sanders: 'He's LaVar Ball on Crack'

Deion Sanders: “The landscape of football has changed. Once upon a time you guys never attacked college players. Now they’re making more money than ya’ll and some of ya’ll are envious and jealous about that so you’re on the attack.”

Jason Whitlock: “Deion is alleging that the only reason the media has anything negative to say about Shedeur, Travis Hunter, or Shilo... But he’s ready just talking about Shedeur... Is because we’re 'jealous' of Shedeur’s money. Travis Hunter lives in a house that most adults can’t afford, Shedeur drives a car that 99.999% couldn’t afford. He flosses the gold chains, and the watches, and he thinks people are jealous and envious, and that’s why they’re having a conversation whether Shedeur Sanders is a good leader, and whether or not that’s going to affect his NFL career. The media is having the exact same conversation about Shedeur Sanders that it’s had about quarterbacks since the beginning of time, and certainly we don’t have to turn the clock back very far to remember many people.
Johnny Manziel. People questioned whether he had the right character and the right leadership to be an NFL quarterback. One of the reasons Dan Marino went towards the end of the first round is because there were rumors about his character, and rumors about whether he used cocaine or not while in college. These conversations have been going on long before college athletes started making hundreds of thousands, and millions of dollars. But because Deion is running a football program that is solely focused on Shedeur Sanders and getting him to the NFL, Deion wants to attack the media and we’re just all ‘jealous, racist, and envious’... It has to be that. It couldn’t be that Shedeur’s leadership qualities and characteristics need to be called into question. But it’s the media’s fault. We’re all the bad guys. This is ‘Daddy Day Care’. This is LaVar Ball on crack and steroids. This is embarrassing for Colorado and that university to allow this man to turn a football program that services 100-110 kids into a football program that services one... Shedeur Sanders. Then Deion’s ego is second, and then Travis Hunter and Shilo are somewhere mixed in there.
Deion likes to say he doesn’t play the race card but that’s what he’s doing very subtly. The people criticizing Shedeur were wearing MAGA hats and said ‘THIS IS MAGA COUNTRY!’ and ‘WHY DID SHEDEUR GO INTO THE LOCKER ROOM EARLY DURING THE NEBRASKA GAME!?’.... Deion drives me crazy. He’s so easy to read.
If he can’t tough it out here, how is he going to handle it in an NFL? ‘HEY, THESE KIDS ARE SENSITIVE! THEY HAVEN’T BEEN THROUGH WHAT I’VE BEEN THROUGH!’... What has Deion been through? He threw a cup of water on Tim McCarver. Compared to Tim Tebow, what did Deion go through? Tim Tebow was lit on fire for kneeling in prayer on the football field. That was it. That was his crime. Deion and the victim mentality is driving me crazy.”

Watch Jason Whitlock of Blaze TV’s Fearless call out Deion Sanders for saying the media is ‘jealous and envious’ of his son Shedeur Sanders and other Colorado stars, as Whitlock says Deion is once again framing a victim mentality to avoid looking like a head coach who has no idea what he’s doing.

Check out the segment above as Whitlock says Coach Prime is simply running a football program to get his son more Heisman votes and first-round Draft consideration, with Whitlock detailing that Shedeur’s personal accolades are more important to Deion than winning games at Colorado.
