Jason Whitlock: WNBA Needs to Suspend 'Deranged Bigot' Dijonai Carrington

Jason Whitlock: “I couldn’t wait to see what mainstream media is saying about Dijonai Carrington stabbing Caitlin Clark in the eye intentionally -- in my view -- with her fingernail. This is probably as close as we will ever get to Tonya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan all over again. I know Jeff Gillooly was the guy who beat up Nancy Kerrigan, but we got this again going on in the WNBA. Surely, the mainstream media who cares about ‘racial equity’ and ‘racial justice’ is going to be all over this. That the biggest star in American sports, the woman single-handily carrying the WNBA to relevance, the woman who is allowing all these other spoiled and entitled brats to fly private to basketball games, the woman who gives them a glimmer of hope that the WNBA won’t lose $50 million this year like they have every other year in their existence... This league was at the brink of extinction and was trending the other direction down. It had peaked in the early-2000s, and now in 2024 all hell was breaking loose and the WNBA was going to crash into oblivion. Many people would have celebrated that, including me. I’ve never liked the WNBA. I don’t particularly appreciate or enjoy watching tatted up women play a bad form of NBA basketball. Caitlin Clark has made this league relevant and this deranged bigot... And I say that in all sincerity. Go to ‘Outkick’ and Bobby Burack’s article where he documented some of Dijonai Carrington’s history of tweets that if written by a White woman would be called racist. We know this woman doesn’t like Caitlin Clark. She can’t stand her. She has tweets indicated that, and in previous performances mocking her. Then we have the video of her nailing Caitlin Clark on Sunday.
Look at what her fingers and hands do. Did her hand catch a cramp?? This is intentional. I assumed all the ‘Racial Justice Warrior’ people would be up in arms and would be like ‘WE GOTTA CALL BALLS AND STRIKES HERE! MAN, THIS CERTAINLY LOOKS RACIST!’... I had the team look at if there was a conversation about this going on at ESPN ‘HEY, DIJONAI CARRINGTON HAS TO BE SUSPENDED!’... We’re talking about a sports environment that has gone overboard with player safety. If someone breaks a fingernail in the NFL now, they’ll stop the game and have a moment of silence. Everything in sports has been emasculated in the name of ‘safety’. But in the WNBA another girl can take her fake fingernails and stab them towards the eye of the woman carrying the league. The ONLY reason they’re flying private, the ONLY reason they’re drawing increased television ratings and attendance numbers. You can do whatever you want to Caitlin Clark and no one has a word to say about it. They cancelled a football game because Damar Hamlin got hurt. We’ve seen players previously die on the football field and the game continued. In the name of ‘safety’ everything comes to a halt but not for Caitlin Clark. Not when a Black girl attacks a White girl on national TV. Nothing to see here, nothing to talk about. No repercussions.
Everyone is afraid of Dijonai Carrington, and whatever Black Twitter, and whatever the social justice warriors, or the whole Black Lives Matter movement... How long have people gone alone with the illogic of ‘WELL, BLACK PEOPLE CAN’T BE RACIST! THEY HAVE NO POWER! JASON, YOU HAVE NO POWER, YOU’RE BLACK! YOU’RE NOT CAPABLE OF DOING ANYTHING HARMFUL, YOU’RE BLACK!’... How can this be true if you can abuse Caitlin Clark and out of fear of your Black privilege everybody is afraid to say anything about it? What do you mean ‘we have no power’? Clearly, Black women are in total control of the WNBA. And ‘why’ are they in control of the WNBA? ‘WELL, BECAUSE THEY’RE THE BEST PLAYERS!’... No one watched, no one cared. They’re the welfare league of the NBA. This league was on the brink of extension and this little White girl is doing them a favor and turning this league into a thing that has a chance. Instead of showing an ounce of appreciation, instead of looking out for her welfare, her protection, everybody sits there in silence.”

Watch Jason Whitlock of Blaze TV’s Fearless call out the WNBA for failing to suspend ‘deranged bigot’ Dijonai Carrington for her controversial shot contest of Caitlin Clark that gave Clark a black eye during Game 1 of the Fever’s playoff series with the Sun, with Whitlock saying Carrington’s ‘eye gauge’ of Clark was not only intentional, but included racial animus towards Clark as well.

Check out the segment above as Whitlock rips the WNBA for failing to protect its biggest star in Clark, saying they’re too cowardly to suspend Carrington for an ‘attack’ that was fueled by ‘racism', and compared the encounter to the infamous Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan incident in 1994.
