Colin Cowherd: It's Time to Sell Your New York Jets Stock

Colin Cowherd: “With Aaron Rodgers and extra prep time against Denver and a rookie quarterback, I thought this was a terrible spot for the Denver Broncos. Instead, it looked like the Jets didn’t practice. It’s time to re-calibrate the Jets. They’ve played four games and have only been really good in one of them – the worst team in the league, New England, who was on a short week. They didn’t play well vs. Tennessee, they got a Will Levis break. They got housed by the Niners and beat by Denver. This team re-calibrated. They are not a well-coached team. Thirteen penalties, cadence issues, and with a veteran offensive line. Where did Breece Hall go? What happened to him? Allen Lazard screwed up a drive with an idiotic penalty and they had to settle for a field goal. That was Aaron’s guy. We know Aaron seeks comfort, Nat Hackett was his guy! C’mon, this offense is not good enough. This is not a well-coached team.
That was a game you can’t lose. The two things we worried about with the Jets – Aaron's health; sacked five times, 14 hits. That is NOT the recipe. The Jets season can’t look like that. Aaron cannot take that beating. Aaron wanted this coordinator, he wanted Allen Lazard, and they’re not doing him favors. Last week we were talking about tickertape [parades], and it’s like ‘NO’, this is still a poorly coached, poorly owned team with an offensive line that is still influx, and a team you can’t trust in big spots. Everyone knew how important this game was for the Jets. The next three games is the hottest team in the league, Vikings, the Bills in a bad mood, and the Steelers – who can’t score but have a great defense. Good luck with your o-line against that Steelers defense."

Watch Colin Cowherd of FS1’s The Herd explain why we need to ‘re-calibrate’ the New York Jets standing among the rest of the NFL’s supposed elites, as Colin believes the Jets have fallen from a potential Super Bowl contender to a pretender going nowhere who needs to get rid of their head coach.

Check out the segment above as Colin rips the Jets for losing at home to an underdog Broncos team playing on the road with a rookie quarterback.
