Then he had his first press conference and it was brutal... But he had Shane Steichen on the staff, and then after a bad start he let Shane Steichen run the offense, and they got to a Super Bowl. Then Shane Steichen left, and the longer Shane Steichen is away the truth is coming out – Nick Sirianni is over his skis.
What does Nick do? Does Nick call plays? No. Is he a defensive wiz? No, he’s an offensive guy. Culture-builder like Dan Campbell? No. Reportedly he doesn’t get along great with Jalen Hurts and doesn’t have his trust. He’s not great with the media and is not a quarterback ‘whisperer.’ You gotta be great at something. If even you’re struggling as a head coach – are you good on your side of the ball? They’re not.
Don’t tell me it’s ‘roster’, this is a good roster. Don’t tell me it's the owner, don’t tell me it’s the GM... Philadelphia is one of the better run organizations. They don’t sit around and wait. They moved off Doug Pederson, they moved off Chip Kelly with a winning record, and moved off of Carson Wentz after a big contract. Don’t blame the players, I don’t want to hear about AJ Brown’s injury. This team doesn’t do anything well. Tampa had just been pushed around the previous week and this wasn’t even competitive, and the body language was bad. That was a football team who looked absolutely unprepared with really good players all over the place. If not for Saquon Barkley, what would this organization do well? What does Nick Sirianni do well? Jalen Hurts has regressed so badly that he has a passer rating below Justin Fields.”
