Kelvin Washington: “I’m not going to lie, it’s perplexing because he’s (Mahomes) not as accurate as he normally is. Mahomes being bottom of the league in the red zone is crazy because that’s what they did, they found Travis Kelce, he found other receivers, he found a way even if it was himself running in the end zone. You had to outscore the Chiefs the past 4-5 years but now that’s not the case. Now, you have to just not hurt yourself. That’s the new formula to beat the Chiefs; don’t hurt yourself meaning don’t turn the ball over, don’t give up interceptions, don’t fumble and you got a chance to beat them because they’ve been in a lot of games lately where they’ve barely beaten people. It’s absolutely crazy that it’s now 7 wins in a row by 7 points or under.”
Rob Parker: “I’m not talking about lifetime achievements or his legacy; I’m talking about right here and right now. When I look at Patrick Mahomes and his play, I think of Daniel Jones with a great defense. That’s what Patrick Mahomes has turned in to.”
