The Los Angeles Lakers aren’t waiting to unveil the father/son duo of LeBron & Bronny James as Ken Griffey Sr. & Jr. will be on hand to celebrate the first time they take the court in the NBA on opening night. It’s just another in a long list of things LeBron gets away with because of his value to the league. Bronny clearly isn’t good enough to play in the league but he’s going to be the only thing anybody talks about from tonight’s NBA action.
Doug Gottlieb: “It is interesting on how LeBron, I think because of not in spite of; because of his greatness, has been allowed to get away with so many things and this is just the latest of those things. There’s nothing that his son has accomplished as a player that would dictate that he should be in the NBA.”
