The Buccaneers Should’ve Gone for Two to avoid Patrick Mahomes in Overtime

The Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated as they come from behind once again to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in overtime. The Bucs had an opportunity to take the lead with a 2-point conversion after scoring with only 27 seconds left, but instead chose kick the extra point and send the game into overtime. But you can’t give Patrick Mahomes any opportunity, especially when you’re on the road, or he will make you pay. With his ability to finish games in crunch time, Patrick Mahomes is cementing his legacy as the second coming of Tom Brady.

Dan Patrick: “When (Patrick) Mahomes has the ball, he (has) now become Tom Brady. Give him the ball, game on the line; you’re going to lose, plain and simple... I thought the Buccaneers should have gone for two... And this isn’t after the fact, this was during; I’d be like ‘I’m gonna go. I’m gonna go for this.’ Because we’ve seen, when Mahomes gets that opportunity, he’s going to make you pay.”
