Bills at Colts (SPREAD: BUF -4) [Sunday 1:00pm ET on CBS]
“Listen, Flacco is going to be fine. It was his first game starting -- give him some reps and he will be fine. Buffalo doesn't defend the run particularly well, and Jonathan Taylor has 100+ scrimmage yards in four of the last five games. The Colts have a good offensive line, they will run the ball, and they will have a chance to control the clock. The Colts are tied for the most takeaways in the AFC. Here's what scares me about Buffalo: they're getting more Josh Allen-reliant. Twelve rush attempts and 106 passes over the last three games. Allen has back-to-back games with an interception -- they're getting a little Josh Allen-heavy. They've got 19 players on the injured list and are coming off a very emotional divisional win against Miami. I think the Bills go on the road and get flat. It's a must-win game for the Colts in a feisty division. The Bills have got their division wrapped up -- I'm going to get the upset here; take the points - UPSET -- Colts 27, Bills 24."
Colin's prediction: Colts 27, Bills 24
Colin's pick: Indianapolis +4
Vikings at Jaguars (SPREAD: MIN -7) [Sunday, 1:00 pm ET on FOX]
“Love the Vikings. Trevor Lawrence won't play, it's going to be Mac Jones. Six different starters on the Jaguars are banged up. The Vikings only losses are to the Rams when they got healthy, and the Lions. The Vikings are a fast-starting team so Minnesota on the road will take the lead. The Vikings are actually the best first quarter team in the league and they'll quiet the crowd -- what there is of one. Minnesota's offense is number two in the league in 'big plays' and Sam Darnold is hot -- seven of his eight starts he's had a 100+ passer rating, tied for the best in the NFL. The Jaguars defense is AWFUL. It is TERRIBLE. They're slow-starting and their defense is 30th or worse in almost every unit. Listen to this -- the Jaguars allow six yards a play. That is UNHEARD OF. A fast-starting Minnesota offense, a quarterback and coaching advantage, Mac Jones against Darnold; I'm going to lay the seven points, Vikings win by ten, 33-23."
Colin's prediction: Vikings 33, Jaguars 23
Colin's pick: Minnesota -7
Steelers at Commanders (SPREAD: WAS -3) [Sunday, 1:00 pm ET on CBS]
“I'm going to take Mike Tomlin off a bye as an underdog. He's maybe the best underdog coach of his generation. Take the Steelers plus the three points. The Steelers offense has back-to-back games of over 400 yards, Russell Wilson is really keying in on George Pickens, and they're thriving together. Here's the thing: the Steelers defense is terrific. It's the number one red zone defense, so even if Washington busts off some big plays, they'll settle more often for field goals than touchdowns. The Commanders defense is BAD. It's the 28th best red zone defense. I kind of like what I've seen from Pittsburgh's red zone offense and run-game with Russel Wilson. I have a feeling Pittsburgh is going to control the clock, pound the rock, move the pocket, and when the Commanders do move the ball against a great defense, they'll settle for field goals. I'm taking Mike Tomlin off a bye, plus the points, as an underdog to beat Washington, 27-24."
Colin's prediction: Steelers 27, Commanders 24
Colin's pick: Pittsburgh +3
49ers at Buccaneers (SPREAD: SF -6.5) [Sunday, 1:00 pm ET on FOX]
Listen, we said yesterday that this was the 'Bet of the Week'. I'll take the 49ers -6.5. They're getting healthy, they're coming off a bye, McCaffrey, Deebo, and Jauan Jennings are all back. They've won four of five under Shanahan off a bye. The Niners are number two in total offense, and that's using number two and number three running backs. Their defense has multiple takeaways in three games. You've got a ticked off San Francisco team getting healthy -- they're gonna EAT. Tampa is on a short week off a physical overtime game with Kansas City, their defense allows 33 a game, and they're falling apart. Baker is not healthy, couple of the backs aren't healthy, Mike Evans is still out, Vita Vea is still not 100% -- this is a BAD, BAD spot for Tampa. I like the Niners to win comfortably, 30-20."
Colin's prediction: 49ers 30, Bucs 20
Colin's pick: San Francisco -6.5
Dolphins at Rams (SPREAD: LAR -1) [Monday, 8:15 pm ET on ESPN]
“The wiseguys like Miami here but I do not. I like the Rams. Three-game winning streak, and they're 8-3 when they're healthy with Puka, Cooper Kupp, Stafford, and Kyren Williams, and they ARE healthy. Miami goes on the road again, this time all the way cross country. The story of the Rams is how good their defensive rookies are. They lead the NFL in hits, sacks, and interceptions. This Rams defense is a bunch of rookies and second-year players, and they're getting better by the week. Tua better get protection -- Jared Verse is unblockable. I don't think it's Stafford as much as this defense against a team who travels for the second straight week. Miami doesn't get a pass rush, so Stafford is gonna be really comfortable, and Miami doesn't defend the run. I think the Rams win time of possession, control the line of scrimmage, and at home control the clock. Dolphins are flying cross country after the Buffalo trip -- I like the Rams to win 30-24. Wiseguys like the Fins, I do not."
Colin's prediction: Rams 30, Dolphins 24
Colin's pick: Los Angeles -1
