Dan was watching the much anticipated fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul desperately hoping Tyson wouldn’t get hurt, and Paul came to his rescue. It became obvious fairly early on that Tyson was out-classed and Paul could’ve done serious damage to the former champion yet chose not to. Whatever you might think of Jake Paul, he showed tremendous respect by holding back.
Dan Patrick: “I thought at one point that Jake Paul was being respectful to Mike (Tyson), and he could have hurt him, probably could’ve knocked him out, and I’m glad that he didn’t. So you can say whatever you want about Jake Paul; I don’t think he’s a great boxer, I don’t think he’s a good boxer, I think he’s a great marketer and he held Mike up...I’m glad that he let Mike walk out with some dignity there.”
