Rich Davis: “I am all about the idea of changing rules and strategies to make it more fun for the fans...all these little changes to the game, you know who’s mad? Your grandpappy.”
Steve Covino: “I know the initial reaction, ‘cause I had the same initial reaction was, ‘This sounds stupid!’ But it’s really not that bad when you think about it.”

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred says they are considering a “Golden At-Bat” for the league where a team could pull a batter out of order and let him hit in any spot in the lineup once a game. While your grandpappy might have an issue with these new-fangled rules, Covino & Rich are coming around to the idea. The other rule changes have been effective and perhaps this could further enhance the drama for the fans.
