Kerry Rhodes: "For me right now, if I was to say who has impressed me the most as a coach and would be deserving of the award, it would be Sean McDermott. It's crazy because I didn't think this team would be as good as they are. He's gotten a lot of flack for having all the talent to win and not getting it done. This year, he makes the decision to get rid of Stefon Diggs. He was somebody who wanted the ball, consumed a lot of the air in that room. I wanted to see what Josh Allen would do without that top guy to see if he would elevate the people around him, and he's done that. But I don't think people have talked about Sean McDermott enough. They talk about Josh Allen, not Sean McDermott. He's done a great job with less talent on that team."
Dan Beyer: "My vote goes to Mike Tomlin. It completely plays into my vote that he hasn't won it. If not now, when? When would it happen? You didn't have a quarterback at the start of the year. You thought you had one but you said 'nope, we want to go with this other guy once he's healthy.' He made the move and it has turned out to be a pretty good move for them."
Dan Beyer and Former All-Pro DB Kerry Rhodes debate who should be the NFL Coach of the Year. Rhodes throws his support behind Bills HC Sean McDermott for his efforts with a team that lost key offensive pieces prior to the season. Dan gives his vote to Steelers HC Mike Tomlin, who has led his team to near the top of the AFC and has yet to win the award in his illustrious career.
