The Chicago Bears requested permission to interview Dallas Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy, permission which was denied by owner Jerry Jones. Yet Jones seemed to publicly support the idea that McCarthy should talk to whomever he wants if that would make him happy. This isn't the first time he's said something controversial but he is usually more consistent with his behavior. Dan is mystified by the obvious contradiction between Jerry’s words and actions.
Dan Patrick: “Why did you deny permission?!? Mike doesn’t want to interview with the Bears; he’d rather stay with the Cowboys. But if you’re not going to re-sign him, let him go interview with the Bears. Mind-boggling...mind-boggling.”
