The Denver Broncos are now the latest team to lose a tightly contested playoff game after failing to convert a 4th down instead of attempting a field goal and taking the points. While Dan understands that these kinds of analytics can pay dividends over an entire season, the playoffs are a different animal, and HC Sean Payton paid the price for failing to adjust.

And I know that's what Dan Campbell did the entire regular season. This is the postseason. In the regular season, you live for another day, another week, another game. Not now. And I think that came back to haunt (the Broncos).”
