Last night, Carolina Panthers took on the New Orleans Saints in a game filled with many highs and lows on both sides. Despite the Saints being the favorite to win, Panthers kept this game close, but mistakes caught up to them, and the severity of Cam Newton's injury was very apparent in this game. Newton explains his struggles below:
Newton has managed to get nine interceptions on this current six-game losing streak, and at this point, beyond the numbers, Dan Patrick is hoping the Panthers shut him down for the sake of the severity of his injuries. With no season left to save, Patrick thinks the organization stands to benefit from Newton getting whatever surgery he needs to be 100% next season.
