Michigan State triumphed over Bradley the other day and while people should be celebrating the victory, a moment in the game where Michigan's coach, Tom Izzo was yelling at Aaron Henry in an incredibly harsh fashion has people caught in between the line of what constitutes good coaching versus verbally beating a player to death.
The footage may showcase bad optics but also opened up a very heated debate between Chris Broussard and Rob Parker. Chris argues that the expectation in college-level sports is that the coach will usually yell at a player. He doesn't support the Bobby Knight style of coaching, but it's expected that a coach will occasionally get in a player's face if necessary. Rob Parker, on the other hand, believes what Izzo did to Aaron Henry was embarrassing and uncalled for. Chris and Rob continue fighting back and forth from there.
