Dan Patrick feels that the expectations for the Los Angeles Lakers need to be placed in a much slower lane. The Lakers debuted in their first regular-season game against the Portland Trailblazers and unfortunately kept alive the streak that the Blazers have over them in season openers. The final score of the game was 128-119. The interesting takeaways from this game aside from some spectacular highlights at the beginning of the game were the Lakers' strong lack of perimeter defense, overpassing and missed assignments forcing turnovers and shooting 7-30 from the three-point line.
