Lacking Parity Isn't The Problem With The NBA; You Just Don't Like The NBA

2018 NBA Finals - Game Four

For the last decade and beyond the NBA has been dominated by dynasties in the NBA finals from the Celtics, to Lakers, to Bulls, to Spurs, to Heat, to Warriors. It's something that in some eras, the NBA has been celebrated for, but recently the actions of LeBron James and Kevin Durant has caused some division among NBA fans due to concerns about player mobility hurting parity.

Colin Cowherd disputes this claim in the audio below. He thinks lacking parity has been a substantial part of the appeal of the NBA and the era when parity was strong was a time when the NBA as a league was not as revered. He compares it to the conflict of the Democrats vs. Republicans in that people are nitpicking at the NBA when truthfully you can make a case for lack of parity in several other sports. He thinks truthfully anybody who argues that the NBA lacks parity must not be a fan of the NBA in general.
