On the latest podcast of Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger, Big Ben admitted to current Steelers QB Kenny Pickett, he wasn't rooting for Pickett's success at the beginning of his career out of fear of being forgotten by Steeler nation. 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe find Ben's brutal honesty refreshing and share similar experiences.

Brady Quinn: "You don't want to be forgotten. He put so much time, effort and sacrifice into being what he was as a Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and a future Hall of Famer, and he wants to enjoy it a little bit. He wants to receive the recognition that he deserves and he should."
LaVar Arrington: "When you can't compete anymore, you just don't want anybody be able to do it better than you. It's okay if you do it good, it's okay if you do it great, just don't ever do it better than me. And it's because as a competitor, you don't get the opportunity to one up it anymore."
Jonas Knox: "Ben Roethlisberger did point out that after the third game, he was rooting for him. I wonder if it's because after the third game, he was like, 'He's not me. I got nothing to worry about here.'"
