Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady found himself in some hot water this week after he compared the NFL season to military deployment on the latest episode of his 'Let's Go!' podcast. On Saturday's edition of 'Up on Game', former Pro Bowl linebacker LaVar Arrington read a letter he received from a military veteran who took offense to Brady's comments, and shared why his own experiences growing up in a military family had him feeling like Brady is clearly detached from reality.
LaVar Arrington: "The moment I heard that, it made me feel that the guy that is the greatest football player of all-time really is detached. The detachment from that reality doesn't get erased with an apology. It led me to this assessment of him; if these are the things that you're saying, you really believe that. Tom is a very bright dude, he's super smart. You're not going to just say things that you weren't prepare to say... Is this the first time that we can actually look at Tom Brady and say who he is as a person and as a brand could be a detriment to the team?"
