“Mark it down on your calendar, 2037; San Diego gets an NFL team again.”
Ben Maller is not very confident in the forlorn Chargers fans in San Diego getting a hometown team any time soon. Maller thinks the NFL realizes what an unexplored cash cow Los Angeles is in this era and has no real desires to break their concentration to appease the abandoned fans of one of the country’s most beautiful cities.
“San Diego will be the new LA,” Maller said. “They will be used as a pawn, along with Vegas and St. Louis, to get politicians in other towns to bend over backwards and open up the tax coffers to the National Football League.”
