The comments made by the father of Lonzo Ball have certainly warranted the headlines they are receiving, but if you're taking them seriously you might see that the message he is giving isn't actually one of positivity for his son, but more a shot at the NBA.
By comparing his collegiate athlete son to the two-time MVP and reigning best player in basketball, Lavar Ball is essentially saying that his son is miles ahead of the rest of the players in the league.
